Get your own house in order – We don’t judge in Yardley
Adorn yourself (i.e. correct your own
behavior), and then adorn others’. (Bava Metzia 107b).
This is the obvious – do as I do, not as I
say. It’s all too easy to stand in judgment of others,
telling them how they should live their lives.
But the first thing to do is to get our own house
in order. Until then, we have nothing to say.
